Julian Jones
Julian is a Dallas native, attending both of the city's premiere institutions: the University of North Texas earning his BBA in Finance, and later SMU Dedman School of Law for his JD. After graduating from UNT and before attending law school, Julian worked at one of the world's largest financial services corporations as a registered representative, obtaining the Series 7 General Securities Registered Representative license.
My Story
As a student-attorney in SMU's Civil Clinic, Julian had already litigated his first bench trial, having the unique experience to provide legal representation for a member of his community in the 342nd District Court in Tarrant County, Texas. That was just the start of Julian's time inside the court room, as he would later participate in SMU's judicial externship course, where he was privileged to work an entire semester in the chambers of the Honorable Harlin D. Hale (Ret.), United States Bankruptcy Judge for the Northern District of Texas. Upon graduation, Julian began his legal career in big law working at one of the largest law firms in the country. During that time, Julian had the privilege to get hands on experience in various federal jurisdictions throughout the country. Julian's experience in the Civil Clinic, as a judicial extern, and as an Associate handling complex commercial cases helped craft his legal research and writing skills. As a first year attorney, Julian was trusted to cover depositions, draft dispositive motions, attend hearings, plan Practice Group meetings discussing various issues (e.g. case status, task assignments, and etc.), and participate on trial teams. After more than 4 years as an Associate, Julian decided to take a leap of faith and hang is own shingle, where he combines his extensive legal expertise with his deep commitment to community service. Julian's current practice involves estate planning, probate and guardianship, personal injury, and commercial litigation. A member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., Julian values brotherhood and service. In his spare time, he enjoys spending quality moments with his family, exploring live music, and cheering on his favorite sports teams. Julian is dedicated to leveraging his skills and experiences to serve his clients and community.
